History

New Heights Church pastor Ken Shackelford had a vision in 2001 for what would become The Joshua Center. This vision began to take shape when a team formed at New Heights Church in 2005 to help the hurting of their community. The ministers and staff involved in this team joined forces with professionally trained therapists to become a powerful connection in helping. This approach consistently produced positive results. Plans began in summer 2010 to expand this ministry in order to meet the needs of the community. The Joshua Center opened January 2011.
