Nick Cornett, PhD, LPC, LMFT

Nick has been a licensed counselor and marriage and family therapist since 2009 with a PhD in counseling from the University of North Texas. Nick specializes in working with children, adolescents, and their families through the use of play therapy, which is a kid-friendly method of counseling that integrates the use of play, art, and activities in order to make counseling more engaging and effective for children. He believes relationships are one of the most important resources we have in life, and he enjoys helping families to strengthen their bond with one another.

In addition to working with clients, Nick is a professor in the counseling department at John Brown University where he teaches and supervises students who are working towards becoming counselors, marriage and family therapists, and play therapists. Nick is a Registered Play Therapist through the Association for Play Therapy, a Clinical Fellow of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, and a member of the American Counseling Association.

In his free time, Nick enjoys mountain biking, playing guitar, and enjoying the outdoors with his family and friends.
