Amanda Hickey, LPC
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 15 years of experience supporting children, teens, and adults across a variety of settings. I believe therapy should consider the whole person—meeting each client where they are and guiding them toward meaningful, attainable goals.
My approach to therapy is client-centered and eclectic, drawing from a range of evidence-based modalities to meet each individual’s unique needs. I incorporate techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI), Sandtray Therapy, Circle of Security, and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) to help clients better understand themselves, build stronger connections, and make lasting, positive change.
I have experience working with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, trauma, PTSD, grief and loss, and adjustment-related challenges. Whether you are facing a difficult season or seeking long-term growth, I believe that everyone deserves a safe, supportive space to explore, heal, and thrive.
As a military spouse and adoptive mom to special needs children I am passionate about providing guidance and understanding related to the specific challenges that often arise to these families.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, traveling to new places and reading.
