Debbie Pridemore, LPC-S, LMFT-S
Debbie is a Clinical Coordinator at the Joshua Center and the director of The Joshua Center Español program. She has been a practicing therapist for over a decade and specializes in working with attachment trauma, PTSD, spiritual trauma, relational issues, emotional dysregulation and emotional shutdown.
Seeing clients begin to accept themselves and the love of others at deeper levels brings her great joy. She is EMDR trained, certified in Motivational Interviewing, Domestic Violence Counseling, and is a Certified Spiritual Director. She is also a Circle of Security Facilitator and is a supervisor in Emotionally Focused Therapy. Debbie values creating safety and compassion and helping clients tend to the wounds and cycles that hold them back from the healing they are searching for.
In her free time, Debbie enjoys hiking, kayaking and training her dogs.
Debbie is trained in Animal Assisted Psychotherapy, and clients may choose to have AAP as a part of their sessions with her therapy dog Jovi. Jovi is a 3 year old poodle mix who was rescued as a puppy from a neglectful situation. He has come a long way since then! Jovi has now completed Therapy Dog Training and has passed the Animal Assisted Intervention Team evaluation through AAAIP. He loves ear scratches, sniffing walks and playing chase in his spare time. Most of all, Jovi loves coming to work and giving laughs and snuggles to his friends.
