Alicia Wagner, LAC

Alicia is a counselor at The Joshua Center and has been in the mental health field since 2020. Previously a high school English teacher, she has always valued diversity in individuals’ unique stories and creating spaces where everyone feels like they belong.

She has training and experience in trauma/PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief/loss, life transitions, relationship problems, identity, and spirituality issues (exploration and abuse). While Alicia primarily works with adolescent and adult individuals, she also sees couples and families. Using trauma-informed principles rooted in attachment theory, she prioritizes connection and personal growth. She recognizes the significance of emotions and incorporates mindfulness and body awareness, considering it an honor to sit with people in painful places and see their most authentic selves.

Alicia enjoys spending time with family, being outdoors, and baking. She especially loves a good cup of coffee and reading a good book or having a great conversation cozied up by a fireplace.
